Hello, I’m an electrician but posting to a few subs for help.
I have an underground pipe that goes from an apartment complex to a set of garages. It was trenched and laid months ago and through the seasons, it got water in it and froze. It’s about 60 feet long, I’m about to snake it with 24 feet left to the garage before hitting ice. Any tips to getting this ice thawed or weakened?
I tried “heat”, that stuff for engines on a tip from someone but after 6 bottles, no dice. I’m hoping it’s not earth dirt from a broken pipe, the snake head comes back wet but not dirty.
It’s getting warm out now (Wisconsin) but move in date for this unit is the 1st, a few days away and we’ve waited as long as we can.
Aside from hot water, any other tips ?
