Company is being called out for bracing a conventional framed roof with purlins to strongbacks about every 8 foot. This passes a city code we build in but however this particular home is being built in rural Nebraska where code wouldn't necessarily reach out if I heard that right. Its worth noting the head foreman has 35 years experience, no complaints or failed inspections and has framed the same way for years. Probably built around 500 homes in his career.
Homeowner got pissy with him and said he had an "inspection" and that the home failed due to roof bracing. The inspection was done by another contractor that had been in business about 2 years and he also fixed the said defects on the same day of inspection. Just sounds fishy.
