How to deal with different pay cycles on one job

On the project I am on right now there is a small town framing contractor who said that he doesn't have the overhead pay his framers if we paid him on our normal schedule of once per month. He is asking to submit a pay app and receive payment every two weeks even though all of the other subs submit and receive payments once a month. Would we pay them out of our own pocket and then get reimbursed from the owner when they pay us? How do I show this on the G702/703 that I send to the owner? How common is this?
