A little bit of background:
Me and my friend are in college and this past summer we worked fencing. We both know how to make fences pretty well.
We thought it would be cool if we went and bought lumber and knocked a fence out in a weekend and would do it every couple weeks or so. We have access to the right tools and a truck. We are both good workers and can do a good job. I already got some quotes from some lumber yards here in town and we have an idea of how much it would cost. Is this plausible? the only thing I'd be worried about is being uninsured then again we aren't idiots we have common sense.
My plan so far is advertising on Craigslist and word-of-mouth through some locals I know who do construction here.
- Call land surveyors find property lines
- Call USIC find underground utilities
- Buy lumber and start
What else should I look into before starting this venture? is this plausible?
Also sorry if this isn't the right place to post this. Any info would be much obliged!
