Hey all, I'm a carpenter by trade, acting as contractor on my own home addition. I have a 4" slab poured in my crawlspace. I isolated the slab from the exterior/peremiter footings with 2" foam, but also continued that layer over 2 interior/mid-span load bearing footings. Currently I'm planning on cutting a 5 1/8x5 1/8 hole in the slab and foam to get direct bearing on the footing with my post. Am I over thinking that or is it OK to have the 2" foam between slab and footing.
