Ideas for a product development class

I am taking product development as an elective class this semester while completing a degree in construction management. I have to develop a product over the course of a semester and was wondering if anyone had any ideas pertaining to the construction industry? I am still relatively new to the industry and am struggling to come up with practical ideas that would make any certain task in the field/office easier.

Any suggestions appreciated!!

More than any other trade show on the planet, Bauma, hosted every three years in Munich, Germany, is a walking show.
