I'm a young architect looking to improve, and I thought I'd begin with the folks who realize the designs. One of the primary contentions I've encountered in my career so far has been the criticism that contractor and builders levy on architects regarding their details and CDs.
Most of these criticisms stem from things like lack of information, disorganization, lack of thoroughness, etc. I'm curious then if any of you have examples or thoughts you could share that could help me to become better at performing my end of the job, and that would help you perform your end of the job.
As an aside, Thank you guys and girls for all the (often unappreciated by my field) work you do to create the built world. I feel too many of us pencil-pushers get stuck in a place where we forget that someone has to actually build the things we spit out of CAD.
